Effective

Cleanses and protects the wound and the peri-wound
• Optimised wetting effect detaches impurities more effectively
• Removes contaminants, scabs, necrotic tissues and biofilm layers from wounds effectively by decreasing the surface tension
• Forms a thin protective film layer on the applied area
• Fills the wound bed and remains on the applied area, leaving no free space for pathogens to colonise
• Provides continuous moisturisation and infection protection
• Minimises the growth of microorganisms at the interface between the wound and the dressing

Patient-friendly

Convenient and painless dressing changes
• Softens encrusted dressing materials that are dried and adhered to the wound
• Forms a barrier between the wound surface and the dressing
• Fills the space between the wound surface and the dressing
• Minimizes adhesion of dressings to the wound surface
• Allows atraumatic change of dressing materials

Healing

Provides moisture and care
• Keeps the wound surface clean and moist
• Optimized wetting and moisturising effect for dry wounds
• Enhances the effectiveness of the dressing
• Prevents the adhesion of microorganisms
• Accelerates the healing of wounds and burns

Dermatologically tested

Neither irritating nor painful
• Mucous membrane compatible
• Does not cause sensitization

Supportive

Efficient wound care thanks to the synergistic effect of poloxamer and polyhexanide (PHMB)

Protective

High biocompatibility
• Neither inhibits granulation nor epithelialization
• High tissue compatibility
• Suitable for long-term treatment
• Well tolerated by allergic and diabetic patients

Protective

Provides antimicrobial cleansing and protection
• Prevents the colonization of pathogens
• Prevents possible re-infections
• Prevents the formation of biofilms
• Highly effective against multi-resistant organisms (MRSA, VRE) and mycotic pathogens (C. albicans)

Product Features and Application Recommendations

Thanks to its enhanced wetting and surface tension decreasing properties, Actolind® Solution Plus removes contaminants, scabs, necrotic tissues and biofilm layers from wounds effectively by decreasing the surface tension more effectively compared to similar products.

Actolind® Solution Plus should be used for wound surface cleansing and irrigation before any treatment.

Bandages, dressings, pads, etc. such as Aclind® Sterile Gauze Compress, soaked in Actolind® Solution Plus can be used to clean wounds.

For optimal wound cleansing, it is recommended to wet the infected wound consisting of deep and intensively necrotic tissues, for at least 10-15 min. with a fully wetted compress.

Actolind® Solution Plus can be applied in combination with Actolind® Gel Plus.

Actolind® Solution Plus cleanses wound surface gently while Actolind® Gel Plus protects and moisturises the wound surface.

Actolind® Gel Plus forms a protective film layer between the wound surface and the dressing and prevents the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms on the wound surface mechanically.

Actolind® Gel Plus is more suitable for wounds where high moisturisation effect is needed or in presence of excessive wound exudate.

Thanks to its enhanced moisturising capacity, rheology and viscosity, Actolind® Gel Plus stays on the applied area, and provides continuous moisturisation and infection protection.

Minimises the growth of microorganisms at the interface between the wound and the dressing.

Actolind® Solution Plus facilitates removal of biofilms while Actolind® Gel Plus prevents the formation of biofilms.

Actolind® Solution Plus can be heated to body temperature prior to use

Compatible with all modern wound dressings
